
Donald Motter, 92, Noblesville, was received into Glory on July 13, 2014. His warmth and generosity were known by many. His favorite phrase: “Keep smiling.”He was born in Ada, Ohio July 23, 1921, studied electrical engineering at Ohio Northern University, and worked for General Electric in Fort Wayne until retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, one sister, one grandchild and is survived by 3 children: David, James, and Nancy,11 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and enjoyed singing in church choirs in Fort Wayne (Immanuel and Blackhawk Baptist) Winter Haven Florida (Faith Baptist), and Indianapolis (College Park Church). His last years were lived in Noblesville, Indiana. His interests included (first of all) spending time with his family, helping the Boy Scouts, Gospel jazz, and big band music. He lead the Ohio Northern Collegeteers dance band during his college years. Other interests included gardening with the children, building structures with 2×4’s (that would “hold an elephant”) and making music with his clarinet and saxophone whenever he could get away with it.
